5-(1-Methylpyrrolidin-2-yl)pyridin-2-amine dihydrochloride - Introduction
5-(Ti)-pyridin-2-ylaminedihydrochloride is an organic compound. Its chemical formula is C12H17Cl2N3 and has two hydrochloride salt groups.
The following is a description of its nature, use, method and safety information:
Nature:
-Appearance: White to off-white crystalline solid.
-Melting point: about 150-155°C.
-Solubility: easy to dissolve in warm water and acidic environment, but low solubility in ethanol, ether and petroleum ether.
Use:
- 5-pyridin-2-ylaminedihydrochloride can be used as pharmaceutical intermediates.
-It can be used as a condensing agent during the synthesis of ticagrelor (Tegaserod).
Preparation Method:
-5-(1-methylpyrrolidin-2-yl) pyridine can be generated by the reaction of dimethylammonia and 2-bromo-5-(1-methylpyrrolidin-2-yl) pyridine.
-Next, 5-(1-methylpyrrolidin-2-yl) pyridine is reacted with hydrochloric acid to obtain 5-(1-methylpyrrolidin-2-yl) pyridine hydrochloride.
-Finally, 5-(1-methylpyrrolidin-2-yl) pyridine hydrochloride was further reacted with 2-cyanopyridine to prepare 5-(1-methylpyrrolidin-2-yl)-2-(pyridin-2-yl) ethylamine, which was then treated with hydrochloric acid to prepare 5-(5-methylpyrrolidin-2-yl)-pyridin-2-ylaminedihydrochloride.
Safety Information:
- 5-(skin)-pyridin-2-ylaminedihydrochloride may cause irritation to the eyes, respiratory tract, so pay attention to the use of personal protective equipment during operation.
-It should be stored in a dry, cool place and avoid contact with oxidizing agents.
